I-35 & 95th Street Interchange

OVERNIGHT: Eastbound 95th Street right lane from Noland Road to Marshall Drive CLOSED from 10:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24 to 10:00 a.m. Sunday, October 25 for utility work.

 

NOW CLOSED:  Northbound and Southbound Pflumm Road at I-35 CLOSED started at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 27 until late-October.  Detour map

Lackman Road to Eastbound I-435 Long-Term Ramp Closure–Closure date rescheduled
EXPECT DELAYS! 24/7 LONG-TERM RAMP CLOSURE: Lackman Road to eastbound I-435 entrance ramp will be CLOSED, 24/7 round the clock, for full ramp reconstruction work beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, August 14 and will reopen to all traffic on Sunday, November 1, weather permitting.
SPECIAL NOTE > > > The NEW Renner Boulevard to eastbound K-10 ramp will OPEN on Friday evening, August 14 prior to the Lackman Road to eastbound I-435 ramp closing. The other eastbound Renner Boulevard ramps are scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 17, weather permitting.
Advance message boards will alert drivers to the ramp closure. A marked detour will be provided (see detour map above). Southbound Lackman Road ramp traffic will detour via westbound College Boulevard to northbound Renner Boulevard to the new Renner Boulevard to eastbound K-10 ramp to access eastbound I-435. An optional recommended detour route for southbound Lackman Road traffic is eastbound College Boulevard to Quivira Road to access eastbound I-435. Northbound Lackman Road ramp traffic will detour via westbound 95th Street to access the I-435 ramps.
Drivers should expect delays during the ramp closure and must use alternate routes. Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via signage, cones and barricades.

Traffic Alert: Full Long-term Interchange Closure at Renner Boulevard & K-10 Thursday, July 23-early September

Renner Boulevard & K-10 Interchange

EXPECT DELAYS! FULL LONG-TERM INTERCHANGE CLOSURE:  All lanes of Renner Boulevard north of the westbound K-10 ramps (roadway closure extended – see below**), the westbound K-10 to Renner Boulevard exit ramp and the Renner Boulevard to westbound K-10 entrance ramp will be CLOSED to all traffic, 24/7 round the clock, beginning at 1 a.m. this Thursday, July 23 through Saturday, September 5, weather permitting. These closures are needed as crews complete reconstruction work on the interchange ramps and on Renner Boulevard both north and south of K-10.

SPECIAL NOTE: Eastbound and westbound K-10 over the Renner Boulevard bridges will remain open to all traffic during this time, though there will be varying daily lane closures on K-10 in this area.

All lanes of Renner Boulevard at K-10**, the eastbound K-10 to Renner Boulevard exit ramp and the Renner Boulevard to eastbound K-10 entrance ramp were CLOSED to all traffic, 24/7 round the clock, beginning on Tuesday, April 14 and will remain closed with the new closures listed above. The eastbound K-10 and Renner Boulevard ramps are still closed and are scheduled to reopen in August 2015, weather permitting.

I-35 & I-435 Interchange

 

EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS! WEEKEND-LONG FULL ROADWAY & RAMP CLOSURES:  The following lane, ramp and roadway closures at the I-35 and I-435 interchange are scheduled to occur for installation of bridge girders for the new westbound I-435 to southbound I-35 flyover ramp* and the eastbound I-435 to northbound I-35 flyover ramp**, beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17 and reopening to all traffic at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, weather permitting (Johnson County).

 

***SPECIAL NOTE: Following the weekend-long closures on I-35, there will also be four single weekday overnight full roadway closures on eastbound I-435 as noted further below for installation of bridge girders for the new eastbound I-435 to northbound I-35 flyover ramp.

 

CLOSES at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17 and REOPENS at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20 as follows:

 

Northbound I-35 traffic will encounter all lanes closed from the left, one by one approaching I-435, and ultimately will be forced onto the ramp to eastbound I-435. Southbound I-35 traffic will encounter two lanes closed from the left, prior to the southbound U.S. 69 exit, with one lane remaining open to serve only the exit to 87th Street. All southbound I-35 through traffic should follow the posted detour via southbound U.S. 69.

 

*All lanes of northbound I-35 from I-435 to 95th Street. Northbound I-35 mainline thru traffic to detour via eastbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69 to access northbound I-35.

*All lanes of southbound I-35 from 87th Street to I-435. Southbound I-35 mainline thru traffic to detour via southbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435 to access southbound I-35.

 

**Northbound I-35 to westbound I-435 ramp. Ramp traffic to detour via eastbound I-435 to Quivira Road exit then back left to access westbound I-435.

 

**Southbound I-35 to westbound I-435 ramp. Ramp traffic to detour via southbound U.S. 69 to access westbound I-435.
