KDOT used a two-step process to select a design-build team

The first step was the RFQ to solicit SOQs that KDOT used to evaluate which teams were most qualified to successfully deliver the project. KDOT  shortlisted three teams based on SOQs received.

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) with Addenda was posted April 10, 2013.

KDOT  shortlisted the most highly qualified design-build teams based on the SOQs received.  The shortlisted teams, in alphabetical order, are:

The second step, a Draft Request for Proposals (RFP), was released by KDOT on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 to the shortlisted teams. KDOT scored those proposals from shortlisted teams submitted on Monday, December 2, 2013 and selected a winning team on Friday, January 10, 2014.  The Final RFP was released to the shortlisted teams on Friday, June 28, 2013.
