OLATHE, KAN. —– The Kansas Department of Transportation, along with Gov. Sam Brownback and
officials from the cities of Lenexa and Olathe and Johnson County, broke ground today in Lenexa for
Kansas’ first design-build project – the Johnson County Gateway Phase 2 Project. This $288 million
three-year project is also the largest project KDOT has ever let for construction.
